BQG410/0.1

BQG 410/0.1 — Mining Duty Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump

The BQG 410/0.1 is the mid-size frame of the BSK mining duty pneumatic diaphragm pump series, rated for 667 L/min at a maximum outlet pressure of 0.83 MPa. It runs on compressed air only — no electric motor, no shaft seal, no rotating element in contact with the slurry — which makes it the first choice for the wet, abrasive and potentially hazardous duties found underground and on the mine surface. The larger valve chambers and ports of the 410 frame suit higher flow duties where the compact 220 frame is running close to its limit.

Solids up to 7 mm pass straight through the valve chambers without straining or clogging, and the gentle diaphragm action does not shear or degrade the slurry. The pump is run-dry safe, self-primes from a dry suction line up to 6.2 m, and can be fully submerged in sumps, pits and shafts. The air motor carries the MA mining product safety certification required for underground coal and metal mine service.

Key Features

  • Air motor advantages — professional air-distribution (air champ) design cuts air consumption and running cost per litre pumped
  • Abrasion resistant — ceramic-material chip valve and hardened air components for long service life on slurry duty
  • Corrosion resistant — surface coating on wetted and external parts for the damp, acidic mine environment
  • Low noise — exhaust chamber with integrated muffler holds operation at approximately 75 dB @70 psi
  • Leak tight — resistance sealing and groove-seal structure with bolt clamping for stable air performance
  • Modular build — common air motor module means fewer spare parts and lower inventory cost
  • Run-dry and self-priming — safe to run against a closed discharge, no priming required after the first charge
  • Stepless flow control — regulate output from zero to maximum simply by throttling the air supply

Typical Applications

  • Draining the working face and gallery or tunnel dewatering
  • Guniting for gallery walls and backfill slurry transfer
  • Mill discharge, cyclone feed and thickener underflow
  • Tailings transfer and pipeline transfer from the process plant
  • Sump, pit and shaft dewatering in confined spaces
  • Filter press feed and flotation reagent, acid or cyanide leach solution dosing

Materials of Construction

The BQG 410/0.1 is available with wetted parts in cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum alloy or PP / PVDF. Diaphragm, ball and seat materials are selected against the actual slurry — neoprene, nitrile (Buna-N), EPDM, PTFE or Viton — so that chemical attack, swelling and abrasion are all covered by one order. Let us know the pH, solids content and particle size of your duty and we will specify the combination.

Not sure which frame size you need? The same series is available as BQG 220/0.1 (378.5 L/min) for lower flows and BQG 490/0.1 (903 L/min) for higher flow duties. Send us your head, flow and slurry details and we will size the pump for you.
